We are visiting "Fabulous Las Vegas" for a few days, and we went to a church of which I met the leaders five years ago when I worked at a youth camp (UCYC in Prescott, AZ. Great place!). This young church has had a decline in attendance, and yesterday's message was a rebuke to the congregation and leaders (including the pastor delivering the message). It boiled down to "Follow Jesus, life is better (not necessarily easy). Don't follow Jesus, life is much more difficult than it needs to be." Also, love people by being willing to expose them to their own sins.

Also, yes and yes.

Sometimes life is just simpler when we follow Jesus, isn't it? And when it is tough down here, isn't it great to have that hope that this isn't all that there is?
