About

What is this blog about? Simply put, “Wisdom crieth without; she uttereth her voice in the streets” (Prov 1:20).

Wisdom is calling out to be heard. Oh, how we should listen. Foolishness and stupidity are characteristic of our society. Even the smartest and brightest are guilty of being “simple.” Wisdom calls out to us and says, “I know a better way.”

If you will take the time to read God’s word on a daily basis, you will grow in godly wisdom. You will learn that it’s not always best to follow the common sense of the world. As a matter of fact, the Bible says that the “foolishness of God” is better than the best wisdom of the world (1 Cor. 1:25; 3:19).

Early in 2012 God gave me a vision for a running commentary on the book of Proverbs. After talking with some godly men around the world, men who encouraged me in the faith, it seemed the right time to start. And what better day than April Fool’s Day?

The idea behind this blog was to bring mature Christians together from around the world, thereby benefiting from a broad collective of understanding. As a group, we all believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God. But as individuals, we can contribute unique perspectives and thoughts about each proverb. My prayer is that through different eyes we can see Truth in new and fresh ways.

My prayer is also that this daily blog will become a regular devotional site for millions – yes, millions –  around the world. Doesn’t hurt to dream big, does it? Just think, the more who walk in godly wisdom, the better our world – and our lives – will be.
