I may be speaking only for myself, but I would say that all of us hear would like to wish you a “Merry Christmas!” Just keep in mind what this day is really about – the birth of Jesus Christ – God’s gift of love to mankind.
As you exchange gifts, remember that what you are doing should mirror the Gift of Christmas. We give gifts to honor the memory of how Jesus was given to us, wrapped in swaddling clothes, and placed in a manger. That gift was priceless and one-of-a-kind, and it was not earned, but given by grace.
Remember how both the shepherds and the wise men worshiped the Child. Christmas is not just a time for fun, but a time to worship Emmanuel, which is interpreted, “God with us.”
Let me say that I am so thankful for all of you who regularly read this blog. You are a great blessing to me, as I am sure you are to all of the guys here at Proverbial Thought.
It may be overused by now, but please, keep Christ is Christmas. Without Him there would be no reason to celebrate, for as Peter said, only He has the words of life.

You definitely do not speak for yourself. I feel confident that we are, to give some honor to James’s screenname and blog title, men of one accord on this!
MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!
